    KE&G is seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position reports directly to and works alongside the Controller and is responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring accounting personnel.  This key team member will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting-related activities. This Manager will work closely with Purchasing, Field Personnel, and Division Managers in normal day-to-day operating activities to provide support as needed. The Accounting Manager will have the following responsibilities, plus they will receive training and mentoring from the Controller:

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
    • On a monthly basis, update and review the Company’s percentage of completion and financial statement model across all divisions and record monthly adjustments to balance WIP, Revenues and Cost of Sales.
    • Accurately records and analyzes other below the gross profit line revenues and expenses.
    • Review and record certain monthly accruals and prepaids.
    • Review monthly fixed asset transactions and depreciation expense.
    • Innovative and creative approach for process and technology improvements.
    • Provides resolutions for accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
    • Tracks and records other operating metrics such as overhead allocations, EBITDA, equipment revenues and expenses, cash and other related KPI’s.
    • Alongside the Controller, looks for business process improvements.
    • Provides audit support for our annual financial statement audit such as providing annual schedules, testing support, reconciliations, explanations etc.
    • Ad Hoc reporting and other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
    • Minimum of 3+ years in a manager or in a supervisory role.
    • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    • Commercial construction or similar position experience.
    • ERP Experience required in large systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Viewpoint, D365, etc.
    • Advance Excel skills.
    • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
    • Emotionally intelligent and ability to work well with others.

    Nice to have:

    • CPA, CMA or in process of an accounting or financial certificate.
    • Viewpoint Vista ERP experience.
    • Forecasting and budgeting experience.
    • Spreadsheet Server working knowledge.
    • Power BI or KPI writing experience.
