Estimating Experience
- Complete Understanding of the Contract Documents
- Complete Understanding of the Plans, Specs and Scope of Work
- Identify inclusions/exclusions (Private Work)
- Review Soils Report

- RFP’s to subs and vendors
- Coordinate Quantity Take-Offs
- Questions to Owner for bid clarification
- Prepare Bid – Include notes to clarify thoughts
- Subcontractor and Vendor quotes review
- Prepare a CPM Schedule including phasing & subcontractor durations
- Proper wage rates (Davis Bacon) or in-house
- Look for zeros and the proper equipment rates in HeavyBid/ HCSS
- Water usage – Trucking Costs – Yard/Office trailer requirements
- Tax rates – DBE/SBE goals
- Secure Bond
- Rental Equipment or special equipment needs-Shoring-Engineering Costs
- Potential VE’s – advantages
- Ensure bid compliance with all requirements
- Be aware of additional items that may be required (Private Work)
- Complete bid with ample time for a thorough bid review
- Communicate Bid Results with Management
- Review bid tabs – when unsuccessful
- Submit DBE goals (if required) – Begin contract documents with owner
- Buy out and finalize project
- Prepare and attend project hand-off meeting
- Discuss high-risk items, any potential issues with the bid
Pre-Construction Experience
- Gather, Understand and Execute Owner Contract
- Complete Understanding of the Contract Documents

Construction Experience
- Quality Control – Oversight

- Review Meeting Agenda
- Attend project meetings with Owner
- Discuss safety, quality, schedule, and productivity with the Team
- Create and maintain an Action Item List for the Team
- Monitor and communicate progress with Team members
- Approve Invoices – Large Dollar Amount
- Assure Insurance requirements are met – including subs/suppliers
- Job Cost Tracking & Monthly Forecast
- Review owners pay application
