We are excited to announce a new position within KE&G. Sergio Gallego will be a Field Safety Manager. Sergio will be joining Chris Kuzyk-Barnett and Lauren Chapelle to provide additional support to our employees. “Transitioning to this new position as Field Safety Manager will be a big change in my construction career,” says Sergio. This position is vital to the company and the safety of our employees. Sergio will work with our employees to assist with safety planning and identification of hazards. As a resource to our employees, Sergio will verify the appropriate use of safety equipment, conduct safety field inspections regularly, and carry out safety training. “I will be attending the classes for the OSHA 500. This will give us the ability to do our training for the OSHA 10 hour and the OSHA 30 hour.” Sergio came to KE&G in 1997 as a Concrete Superintendent and has most recently been in the Sierra Vista office as a Project Manager. We feel that Sergio will be great in this position as his experience both in the field and as a project manager brings knowledge to help our growing workforce understand the importance of safety in our daily operations. Sergio will be attending additional safety training, and we expect that he will be visiting our field crews starting in early February. In this position, Sergio will also engage the workforce to create and sustain a safety culture that continuously strives to get better every day to achieve zero injuries and incidents. Let’s congratulate Sergio on his appointment to this new role that is very important to the company. Lastly, Sergio states, “I am excited to join Chris Kuzyk-Barnett and Lauren Chapelle and to provide additional support to our employees.”
