The Kolb Rd. widening and reconstruction project spanning from Sabino Canyon to Sunrise Dr. included extensive storm drain improvements, potable water modifications, soil nailing, lightweight fill, and retaining walls up to 19 feet tall. Some of the major difficulties during this project included a very limited right-of-way, maintaining traffic flow during the duration of the project, and major utility coordination.
