Chris Albright has 25 years of experience in construction and has been involved in one of the most significant freeway design-build contracts in history. He is now the President of KE&G Construction. Also, Chris assisted in leading several award-winning projects. Although Chris has been in Tucson for several years he graduated with a B.S., Construction Management, Minor, Safety Management, from the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. Chris is also not shy supporting various community events by being the board president of the Southern Arizona Construction Career Days.
Vice President Ed Anderson has over 33 years of experience. Ed is proficient in alternative delivery methods for construction. In 2014, he has advanced his status and assumed the role of Vice President for KE&G. Ed’s ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts with owners and subcontractors is invaluable when ensuring that quality work is completed on time and under budget.
Jim Brockman is a Project Manager/Estimator in the Utility Division. He is originally from Whitefish, Montana, and grew up in construction as his Father was in the industry. Jim spent 20 years with a large industrial contractor working his way from Laborer to Project Manager. He moved to Tucson in 2007 to pursue facilities support and small capital work at the area power plants and mines. In 2010 he convinced a large contractor to open an office in Phoenix, specializing in Power Plant outage support. Jim has three kids that live across the Western United States. His favorite food is sushi, and he enjoys hikes, gardening and traveling. His favorite sports team is the Los Angeles Rams. Please welcome Jim to the Team while he is working on Pima County JOC work.
HUMMAN RESOURCES ADMIN.
Cindy Bryan, our Human Resources Administrator, started with KE&G in 2005. She began as a Contractors Clerk and assisted the Project Managers then moved into the Payroll Administrator position and eventually to HR Administrator. Before purchasing the Sparkletts Bottled Water franchise, she worked in the Human Resource Department at a bank in Phoenix which allowed her to learn the administration of human resources. In her free time, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family and especially enjoys her three grandkids. She also really enjoys making mosaic artwork from stained glass and ceramic tiles and other crafts in her spare time.
Mark Campbell is a Project Manager/Estimator has over 30 years of experience in heavy construction. Over the last 16 years, he has been involved in the management and estimating for commercial, residential and government projects throughout the Tucson area. His understanding of the private and public sector is evident when it comes to recognizing the opportunities for value engineering and creating cost-effective solutions to many unforeseen matters.
John Drake is our General Superintendent and has a wide range of skills varying from heavy civil underground utility installations, installing, repairing and inspecting water systems to operating heavy equipment. He has a proven track record of success in achieving time, budget and quality goals on a broad range of projects throughout Southern Arizona. Mr. Drake has served as a Superintendent for the last 18 years.
DIR. OF COMMUNICATIONS
Ramon Gaanderse is Director of Communications and comes to KE&G from nearly two decades of experience in association management which emphasized lobbying local, Statewide and at the Federal level for various industries. Ramon will continue to focus on legislation impacting the company while staying involved in community outreach, marketing, and combinations both internally and externally.
With over 13 years of experience in professional Office Management and a track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure environments, Liz skillfully manages a wide range of administrative duties and IT support for the estimating, project and field management software for her colleagues at KE&G Construction. As Office Manager, Liz ensures that the IT and administrative operations of the company for both, field and office staff are always working efficiently. She manages Executive support tasks and provides support to the Project Managers/Estimators in all Divisions with various proposals. Liz accomplishes these tasks with her strong communication skills, unmatched problem-solving and determination to ensure she stays a step ahead of any potential obstacles for field and office personnel. Her knowledge and continued training make her professional development are always at a constant to provide the most efficient support. In her spare time, Liz enjoys spending time with her family, a good Netflix binge, trap shooting, and an occasional ATV Ride.
FEILD SAFETY MANAGER
Sergio Gallego is our Feild Safety Manager and has over 32 years of construction experience. He joined KE&G in 1997 as a Concrete Superintendent constructing the I-19 Interchange project in Tucson, Arizona. His varied experience with concrete paving, drainage, flatwork, and structural concrete is displayed in numerous public and private development projects. In 2016, Mr. Gallego took the role of Project Manager based in Sierra Vista where he managed projects throughout southern Arizona.
Jesse Grinsteiner is a Project Manager/Estimator and has over 11 years of experience in the construction industry and over 6 with KE&G. Jesse is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has held the certification for more than three years. He focuses primarily on our Utility Division managing water and wastewater projects, including a critical management role in the award-winning 22nd Street Sewer Augmentation CMAR Project for PCRWRD. Originally from Bismarck, ND, Jesse attended North Dakota State University in Fargo and has a BS in Construction Engineering.
Blanca Hightower is the Office Manager/Accounts Payable Admin. Blanca Hightower is our Office Manager in Sierra Vista as well as our Accounts Payable Administrator. She has been with the company since 1986 and is originally from San Manuel, Arizona. When Blanca started with KE&G, she was the Assistant to Karol George, the previous owner of the company. Blanca held various positions within the company in accounting and became the Sierra Vista Office Manager as well. Blanca enjoys cooking at home, and you might find her eating breakfast at a local eatery. Also, she enjoys reading a good book or watching a little golf wither her Husband.
Chris Kuzyk-Barnnett is our Safety Manager. With extensive safety, training and communications experience, Chris is an asset to KE&G team. With over 32 years of professional experience, she ensures that all KE&G employees’ training is within compliance with 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926 Standards, as well as many other detailed safety duties and responsibilities.
Grey Major is a Project Manager in the Transportation Division and has over eight years of construction experience in Southern Arizona. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona. Grey has extensive experience with transportation projects in Southern Arizona. Grey has been a part of the management team on several high-profile projects, including the Valencia and Kolb Intersection Improvements and Stone Ave. from Speedway to Drachman.
Tammy Messer is our Project Manager Assistant in Sierra Vista and has been with KE&G since 2011. She has 17 years of experience in the construction industry. Her role as a Project Manager Assistant includes support for Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Field Supervisors. She was awarded the "Champion Award" from the Arizona Department of Transportation, acknowledging her efforts for going above and beyond for her assistance with various staff at the department.
Matt Nehrmeyer is a Project Manager/Estimator and has been in the construction industry since 1998. He has a B.S. in Construction Management. He has worked on projects ranging from water/wastewater treatment plants and pump stations to mining infrastructure and construction to major interstate bridges and overpasses. Matt specializes in industrial contracting for the mining industry in Arizona and New Mexico, taking great pride in delivering safe, quality, and timely projects. Matt’s focus is to maintain the highest level of integrity in his work, continually learn as technology increases, and advance others working around him.
Jim Olson is the Project Manager & Estimator in the Transportation Division and has nearly 30 years of construction experience. Directly after serving in the United States Army, he sought education in construction. A native Arizonan, Jim started his career in private and commercial civil projects. At any given time, Jim currently manages approximately $40 million in transportation projects. Jim has learned every aspect of the industry through direct experience starting as a Foreman, Superintendent, Estimator, Operations Manager and General Manager. Currently, Jim is overseeing several major transportation infrastructure projects.
SR. PROJECT MNGR/EST.
Larry Saunders is our Senior Project Manager/Estimator who has over 45 years of experience in construction and employed at KE&G for almost 40 years. He has more than 20-years in field supervision and has served the last 25 years as an estimator and project manager. In his Project Management role, Mr. Saunders has been involved in the construction of many subdivisions, ADOT projects, utility projects and roadway projects all over southern Arizona. Including several award-winning projects.
SHOP EQUIPMENT MANAGER
Clint Schweigert is our Equipment Manager. Mr. Schweigert started working at KE&G in early 2019 at the Tucson office. He has over 24 years of experience in the heavy equipment/fleet/construction business. Clint graduated from Central Arizona College with an Associates' degree in automotive technology, and 1998 received his Journeyman’s certificate as a Heavy Duty Mechanic from the Operating Engineers. Clint is a native Tucsonan and, in his spare time, enjoys spending time at the lake, four-wheeling, camping traveling and remodeling houses.
Mike Tadeo is a Project Manager/Estimator and has been in the construction industry for over 17 years and now with KE&G Construction as a Project Manager/Estimator for just about a year. For eleven of those years he has served as the Lead Estimator. In a few short years, Mr. Tadeo was able to advance his career from a Field Laborer while taking college courses at night, to a Head Grade Checker, Dirt Foreman, to currently a Project Manager / Lead Estimator.
UTILITY DIVISION MANAGER
John Warner is our Utility Division Manager and possesses 45 years of Water and Wastewater public utility operation, maintenance, and management experience. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing successful programs for the conveyance system and related facilities operation and maintenance. He was the manager of the only public wastewater collection system in America to achieve simultaneous triple ISO Certification. Responsible for Pima County’s 3,000 + linear miles of gravity and force main public sanitary sewage conveyance system, provide oversight and input of the effectiveness and efficiency of department operations. Responsible for annual budget preparation and administration, staffing of approximately 100 full-time employees, maintenance of fleet, vector control program, 38 existing pumping facilities, Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO) program; tracking and mitigation, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); GPS program, CMOM and Oder/Corrosion Abatement Programs. John brings a combined public and private sector utility construction related experience of 30+ years.
Mr. Wilusz has 32 years in the construction industry starting as a laborer and progressing through various positions as a concrete finisher, foreman, field engineer, office engineer, project engineer, project superintendent, and project manager. During his career, he has worked across the Rockies from New Mexico to Montana, spent ten years in Afghanistan and a year in American Samoa.
Chris Weinell is our Controller and has been with KE&G since 2013 as our Controller. He has over 20 years of experience in his accounting career and has worked for a variety of clients in the construction, manufacturing, real estate and healthcare industries. Chris earned his BA and AS in New York in the early 1980s. Chris is from Long Island, New York but moved to Tucson in 1993. During his time, Chris enjoys golfing and hiking and is an avid Miami Dolphins. His favorite restaurant in Tucson is Café Poca Cosa.
Rob Zedaker is our General Superintendent in Tucson and has over 31 years of experience in all phases of construction and maintenance with experience in heavy industrial and commercial projects. He has extensive field experience, with particular expertise overseeing wastewater, flood control, pipe and treatment plant projects.
